Readers of blogs (and online newspapers) can take advantage of technology that delivers headlines to you dynamically. Dynamic feeds are provided by standard services called
RSS and
Atom.
For those of you who aren't familiar with how to use these feeds, look at the bottom of this blog, you should see a subscription link.
Subscribe to: Posts (Atom)"
Both Internet Explorer (and
Firefox) support subscribing to feeds. After clicking on the subscription link should you should see plain version of recent blog articles with a box at the top inviting you to subscribe that includes a link saying "Subscribe to this feed" (or a "Subscribe Now" button).
By default, Internet Explorer will put your feed into a folder called "Microsoft feeds" and displayed under feeds in your favorites centre (and similarly, Firefox will add the or
Live Bookmark to your book marks tool bar along with "Firefox Aids").
Just click on the feed icon and you should see recent article titles in on a page (or as a list of book marks). It's a great way to keep up to date.
